The Canadian wheelchair basketball team beats the Japanese team with a big margin, 75 to 48, this morning in the preliminary competition held at the National Indoor stadium.

The result might be a nice gift for Canadian player Richard Peter, who celebrates his birthday of 36 today.

Our reporter Christine Zang talks to Marni Abbott Peter, Richard’s wife, who witnesses the victory on the stand this morning.

Marni is also a wheelchair player and she participated in four Paralympic Games, winning three gold medals and one bronze medal.
